The Story So Far.... November 2016

December 15, 2016

Hello folks and a very warm welcome to our “occasional” monthly blog for the book “Newcastle Old and New the story so far…” – I continue to be overwhelmed with the response to the book as sales have exceeded another milestone of “100” sales YEESS! A major personal achievement in many ways not least that it only when on sale – and that was only to network events and via social media!! We have a very busy Christmas season ahead of us with some really significant events lined up...  I will start with a very special invitation to the Newcastle City Library to conduct a talk on “dyslexia and me and the path to the book launch”. Anyone who knows me will understand my massive excitement!!!

“Book on Tyne” talk City Library 25th of November 2016

I am regarding this as the "official" book launch of the Newcastle Old and New the story so far... the monumental achievement of publishing a book born out of a 38 year ambition written originally as a school project when teachers told me I would amount to nothing - but unbeknown to all I was struggling with dyslexia.. The Newcastle City Library has kindly invited me to talk within their "Books on Tyne" festival which goes from the 21st to the 27th of November 2016 with a wide variety of “authors” including me!!

I will be on at 3pm on the 25th of November 2016 in the Bewick Suite talking about my struggles with dyslexia and the challenges encountered to finally getting my book published. This is a free ticket event via Eventbrite, please follow the link to; http://www.booksontyne.co.uk/events/item/newcastle-old-and-new

Incidentally I will have books with me if you are interested in “signed” Christmas pressies???? [Leanne pls give me some xmas icons, ta]
